Newcastle is in Lincoln County, whose county seat is Wiscasset and whose population was 35,237 in 2020. TradeHire shows postings at county level, so this page lists every electrician opening in Lincoln County, not only those in Newcastle itself.
8.5% of occupied homes in Lincoln County heat mainly with electricity, 56.5% still with fuel oil, the median home was built in 1978 and 26.1% of units date from before 1940 (ACS 2020-2024 5-year estimates). Older housing is where service upgrades, panel replacements and rewiring to current code come up most, and every heat pump or EV charger added to an existing home needs electrical capacity behind it.
