TradeHire shows postings at county level, so this page lists every plumber opening in Aroostook County, not only those in Woodland itself.

26.7% of the housing units in Aroostook County were built before 1950 and the median home was built in 1972 (ACS 2020-2024 5-year estimates). Older buildings mean galvanized and cast-iron piping reaching the end of its life, and Maine winters make frozen-pipe repairs and well-and-septic work a regular part of the job outside the sewered towns.

• Aroostook County is known for potato farming and is a growing center for wind power.
• The county has hospitals in Presque Isle (Northern Light AR Gould), Caribou (Cary Medical Center), Houlton (Houlton Regional Hospital) and Fort Kent (Northern Maine Medical Center).
• Twin Rivers runs a large paper plant in Madawaska that gets pulp by pipeline from its sister mill across the border in Edmundston, New Brunswick.
• Caribou averages about 9,048 heating degree days a year and about 38 nights at or below 0°F (1991-2020 NOAA normals), so heating systems here work hard.
